1769 - Launches of WORCESTER & ELIZABETH
17th October. Two ships were launched from the Dockyard this year and on the same day. The first was the Worcester, a 3rd rate ship of 64 gun designed by Slade; she became a stores hulk at Deptford, being broken up in 1816.
The other was the 3rd rate ship Elizabeth of 74 guns also designed by Slade. She was broken up at Chatham in 1797.
